Student Guidelines & Etiquette

At Con Brio Piano Studio, enjoyment and excellence begin with intention. These guidelines outline how students can make the most of their lessons and practice, cultivating artistry, confidence, and discipline through joyful music-making.

(Full Student policy details are provided in the Student Handbook and Membership Agreement upon enrollment.)

Lesson Experience

Each lesson offers structured guidance, personalized feedback, and opportunities for creativity.

We focus on building a solid foundation in technique, theory, and expression — all while keeping learning engaging and inspiring.

Students should arrive prepared, with their materials organized and ready to play. Consistency, curiosity, and preparation are key to growth.

Practice Expectations

Meaningful progress comes from steady, mindful practice.

Students are encouraged to practice at least five days per week and to maintain an organized system for assignments, notes, and resources through their Online Piano Portal.

Practice times vary by level, but every student is guided toward a routine that fits their goals and lifestyle.

Home Practice Environment

A dedicated, quiet space at home is vital to success.

Students should have a properly positioned piano, comfortable seating, and zero distractions. If adjustments are needed, personalized guidance will be provided to help optimize your setup.

In Summary

Becoming a pianist is a journey of skill and self-discovery.

Show up prepared, stay engaged, and approach every lesson with curiosity — your growth, artistry, and joy at the piano will follow.
