CON BRIO PIANO STUDIO General Member Policies
Your Studio Membership: Con Brio is a members' studio, with enrollment and classes operating continuously year-round. Your lesson time is reserved exclusively for you on an ongoing basis, and tuition is billed as a monthly subscription. This membership guarantees your place in the studio schedule, ensuring uninterrupted progress and a steady space to learn, grow, and make music. Membership remains active until formal notice of withdrawal is provided.
Consistency with Pause Pass: Your membership reserves your enrollment and exclusive space in our high-demand studio schedule. We know life happens—travel, family needs, unexpected changes—and sometimes a short pause is necessary. With Pause Pass, you can temporarily step away without losing your spot while keeping your membership active. Pause Pass is a retaining fee equal to 85% of your regular monthly tuition. This fee secures your student’s reserved lesson time, enrollment status, and studio membership during the pause period.
Your spot in the schedule is preserved (no need to rejoin the waitlist).
You avoid additional enrollment fees upon your return
Progress is protected, allowing your student to pick up right where they left off.
Tuition & Billing: Payments for lessons are due by the first of every month. Electronic and cash options available.
Attendance & Absences: Your lesson time is reserved just for you, so we are unable to offer makeups or refunds for missed classes. If you anticipate an absence, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can keep the studio running smoothly. Thank you for helping us maintain the consistency that allows students to thrive.
Studio Breaks & Holidays: Throughout the school year, Con Brio Piano Studio follows the Peninsula School District calendar for scheduled breaks, with no lessons held during these periods or on federal holidays.
The studio also observes a holiday break during the first week of July in celebration of Independence Day.
Summer break occurs during the final week of August, providing time for planning, rest, and preparation for the new school year.
Our studio calendar offers a clear, at-a-glance reference for the entire year, helping families plan lessons, breaks, and summer schedules with ease.
Communication Channels & Responsibilities: Email and Google Classroom serve as our primary communication channels. Please ensure the email address linked to your tuition billing and Google Classroom is checked regularly for important updates. Personal lesson feedback is regularly shared in Google Classroom and should be reviewed—and responded to, if applicable—within 48 hours (or as soon as possible).
Ending Your Membership: If you choose to discontinue your membership, rejoining is always welcome. Lesson times are subject to availability, and the standard Enrollment Fee will be applied.
Membership Withdrawal Notice: Membership at Con Brio Piano Studio remains active until a formal notice of withdrawal is provided. To discontinue enrollment, written notice must be received at least two months prior to your desired final month of lessons. For example, if you wish for June to be your last month, notice must be submitted no later than April 1. Notices received after this two-month period will result in continued billing through the required notice period.
Policy Acceptance and Continuity: By continuing enrollment and participation in lessons, clients acknowledge and agree to any updates, refinements, or adjustments made to studio policies over time. Continued engagement signifies acceptance of the current and any updated terms as outlined.
If there are significant changes to the policy, a PDF outlining these changes will be attached to your tuition invoice. For smaller updates, you can always refer to the General Member Policy page on our website to stay informed.
